Five Question Friday #26

1. What is the weather like where you are and do you like it?

The weather has been cold! Too cold! To the point where we have had to turn on the heater. I was liking the perfect weather we had. But now, I just want the warm weather to come back.

2. When you're sick what do you seek comfort from?

When I am sick, I crave Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I also find comfort in being bundled up in my blanket watching movies with Lyric.

3. What do you need to do before the end of the month?

I don't know what I need to do before the end of the month. But I know what I want to accomplish by the end of the month. I would like to get curtains made and hung up for all the rooms in the house if I can, if not then at least the downstairs. I would also like to get bath rugs or front door and back door rugs made. And start on getting our dinning room table and sofa started. Lots that I want to get done.

4. Have you ever served on a jury?

No, I have not.

5. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

Hmmm... If I could be any animal I would want to be an animal that is graceful, peaceful, smart, and pretty. I think that I would choose to be a feline of some sort. I don't know why I would choose a feline. I guess it is because I love cats!

Big Kid Shoes?

While me and Lyric were playing this morning, 

She found her daddy's shoes...

First she tried putting her hands in his shoes...

But then, 

She...

Did...

This...

She put her foot in her daddy's shoe...

And...

Look at the look on her face!

She looks...

Oh,

So,

HAPPY!

She tried...

Tried to walk...

But...

She fell...

She fell backwards.

But that didn't stop her!

She got right back up,

And,

Went about her day.

Fill In Blank Friday #29

1.   One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is lay down, get comfy and read a book or watch a movie.

2.   When I have free time I tend to   be more lazy than motivated.

3.  If I had an entire day completely to myself I would have no idea what I would want to do.

4.  I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others...) a little bit of both. I love doing things with friends and family, but I will also need alone time, even if I'm not doing much .

5.  Most of my free time happens during the week, but can also be on the weekend.

6.  The best thing about free time is that time is in your hands.

7.  The next time I have free time I should probably vacuum the downstairs but instead, I'll probably be lazy and watch some t.v with Chris and play with Lyric.

Happy Birthday, Popa!

I'm a little late at writing this post. I was hoping to have it finished this morning, but I didn't know what to write. So, I searched the internet and found a few poems/quotes that I liked and am going to use to dedicate to my popa who would have turned 81 years old today. He fought hard to try to make it so that he could meet Lyric, but just couldn't make it. Although, I know that he would be so proud of me and the woman that I have become and the mother that I am to Lyric.

A Grandfather's Love

I love you dear Grandfather, for all you mean to me,

I think of you each day, as I pray and wonder how you've been.

Remembering My Grandfather

God gave me someone special who would love me for all time, 

My most beloved Grandfather, a treasured friend of mine

His soulful beauty very deep, inside his loving heart,

To cherish me with all his love, even when we are apart.

Blessing me with unseen gifts, of kind and thoughtful words,

Praying for me everyday, with continual concern
