1. February 24th is National Tortilla Chip Day - do you like them? What do you pair with Tortilla Chips?

I like them. I snack on them. I pair them with sour cream, different dips, and Tortilla Chili.

2. February 26th is Carnival Day (and also Judy from Retired Not Tired's birthday - coincidence??) What is your favorite carnival ride, game or food?

I love carnivals! I love any and all the rides and am a huge fan of fried foods. :)

3. Nascar has started for another year.... albeit in a wet way... are you a fan?

Not really.

4. Other than your blog, do you actively participate in social media?

I only do Facebook and Pinterest. I do have a Twitter, but don't really use it.

1. February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day - when were you last the recipient or provider of a RAOK - or what RAOK have you heard about recently?

I haven't been a recipient or provider of a RAOK. I heard about a friend who got her meal or drink paid for by the people in front of her and then she went on to pay for those behind her.

2. February is also National Cherry Month - are you a cherry lover? Recipes?

I love cherries. I have a few recipes. Maybe I'll share them another day.

3. Are toys limiting children's creativity more these days?

I don't think so. There are creative toys out there, you just may have to look a little bit harder.

4. Since the Olympics are here, what would you win a gold medal in?

Anything Harry Potter.

Nope. My computer is pretty clean to start with. :)

I sure am a grapefruit lover. But don't have any recipes. Do you?

3. Are you watching the Olympics? What events hold your interest or are you just ignoring the whole thing?

I am not watching the Olympics. I wish I was but don't have any bunny ears. :( I enjoy the figure skating and the skiing/snowboarding.

Not really. Chris has to work and didn't really plan anything earlier in the week.

Hmm... The only quote that comes right to mind is, "I have a dream..."

2. Wayne told Heather to get the questions up early because we'd be exhausted from our trip... she didn't listen to his good advice, so MQAM is late - when was the last time you didn't listen to good advice?

Probably relaxing while the kids are napping. Instead I clean or do other things.

1. It's International Skeptics day - what are you skeptical about?

I'm skeptical about anything that a politician says. 

2. Wednesday is National Hat Day - what is your favorite hat? Do you wear hats often?

I don't have a favorite hat because I hate hats and will not wear them. Not even when it is cold out. 

3. What one movie or two would you say should be on everyone's must see list?

I think for family friendly would have to be Frozen. I can't tell you how many times my family has watched it. Some parts are laugh out loud funny!

I don't know about one for just adults.

4. If they were going to make a reality show about your life what would it be called?

I have no idea what my reality show would be called.

First Monday Quiz of 2014!

As I was reading blogs today, I came across Acting Balanced. I saw that they were doing a blog hop. And I thought that I would join in the fun. :) 

1. It's Nation Hobby Month - will you be starting a new hobby or just keeping up with current ones? What are your hobbies?

I don't think that I will be starting a new hobby, I will however try to keep up with some of the current ones. Some of my hobbies are reading, baking, and playing the flute and piccolo. Although, I haven't really played either of my instruments in a while. I need to fix that. :)

2. January 6th is Bean Day - What is your favorite bean? Bean recipes to share?

I think the only bean that I like by itself is green beans. I don't mind other beans when they are mixed in to a meal. 

3. Wayne got a question from a student yesterday... and we'd love your input - "I just got good news - I got a promotion into management - the problem now is that I've moved to a salary position after working hourly. I used to get paid for overtime so now I make less money - What should I do?"

I think that if management is where you want to be, I think it is a good opportunity. Sometimes a salary could be more than what you were making hourly. And if need be, you could always get a second job to make up for the loss in pay, if there is any.

4. Have you ever bought a gift that you regretted giving later?

I don't think so.

1.  What is your favorite yogurt flavor?

My favorite yogurt flavor is almost any flavor. I am not picky. If I have it or you, I will probably eat some if you offer it to me.

2.  Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or coloured??

Ankle socks. I like white and multi colored. I will even wear mismatched ones.
3.  How is the weather right now?

The weather is just right! Beautiful!!
