100% C. I love my marriage. I love my job (being a stay at home mommy), I love that Chris has a job and it is secure. 


{2} What were you doing the last time you had a really good laugh?


I was watching Lyric play. She is always making me laugh by doing something while she is playing. The last thing that she was doing that made us laugh was she was leaning over like she was going to do a summer-sault, put her hand under her and behind her to grab one of her rings to her ring thingy and fell over and ended up sitting on her arm. 


{3} Who is the last person you hugged?


The last person that I hugged was Lyric when I put her to bed.


{4} What song always makes you happy when you hear it?


There are many songs that make me happy when I hear them, I just can't think of one. I think of many. 


{5} What's the first thing you thought about this morning?

The same thing I think about every morning... I love the thought of waking up and seeing Lyric smiling and playing in her crib.

{1} What is your most commonly used word or phrase when you are frustrated?

I think that my most commonly used word when I am frustrated is "crap" or "shoot."

{2} What random question do you usually get from strangers or casual acquaintances?

Usually when we are out shopping we get asked if Lyric is our first child or our only child. I mean how old do we really look? Do we have another child with us?

{3} Did you ever correspond by mail with anyone, who? Do you still have the letters?

When Chris was at boot camp we wrote to each other. Yes, I do still have my letters that he wrote me and I wrote him. 

{4} Do you dance in public? why or why not?

Nope, I don't know how to dance. 

{5} What is your favorite kind of chapstick/lip balm?

Anything! I'm not picky. I usually just look on the shelves at the store and see what they have and choose from what is there.

{1} What was the best part of 2011?

The best part of 2011 was watching Lyric grow up to being a gorgeous little girl and me and Chris celebrating our first anniversary.
{2} What do you look forward to in 2012?

What I look forward to the most is to continue to watch Lyric to continue to grow and many laughs and smiles.

{3} Do you actually keep your New Year resolutions?

I try to but, they don't usually last the first few months. But this year, I plan to. 

{4} What are your top 3 resolutions for the new year?
To take at least one picture a day of Lyric and blogging about it on my blog
To loose at least ten pounds

To go for a walk at least three times a week before we call it a night

{5} Do you have any fun new years traditions or plans?
With it being our first New Years as a family, we haven't got any traditions yet.

We Want To Know #28

1. Are you a party person? Or do you prefer an intimate gathering with just a few friends?
I am not very much of a party person. I would rather an intimate gathering with a few friends.

2. Would you rather be a guest at a party or the hostess with the mostess?
I would so rather be a guest at a party!

3. What is your favorite party food or drink?
My favorite party food is the homemade party mix my grama makes. I so wish I had her recipe!

4. What is the best party you've ever been to?
I couldn't tell you, because I don't know.

5. What is your favorite party game?
I'm not much a party game person either.

1. What is your favorite cookie to eat?
Hmmm... I love cookies! I love! love! LOVE! cookies! But my favorite cookie has probably got to be No Bake cookies. They are to die for, I believe. I love to make them. I have even got the recipe memorized and I shall share my recipe with you. They are great and easy to make. Even late at night. 
No Bake Cookies

• 1 3/4 cups white sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 cup butter
• 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
• 3 cups quick-cooking oats
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
• 
  
• In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa. Bring to a boil, and cook for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool until hardened.

2. Have you ever done a cookie exchange?
No, I have not. I have never heard of one either. 
3. How are you doing on your holiday shopping?
Haven't gotten any of it done yet.
4. What is your holiday shopping style? (A little at a time, or power shopper? Early in the season or last minute? Online or part of a crowd?)
I tend to shop last minute. But hopefully this next year I can shop a little at a time and early in the season. I tend to prefer shopping in a crowd to online. 
5. Light displays... Do you put them on your house? What is your style? Favorite kind to see?
I love light displays. We didn't put any lights up this year, but we are planning to next year. I like simple light displays if we are going to put them up around our place rather than going all out. Although, I love to go out and look at the more out there displays that people put time and effort in to doing.

1. What is the worst job you have ever had?
I have loved all my jobs. I haven't hated any of them yet.
2. Have you ever been fired?
No, not really. While I was a receptionist at a nursing home they decided to take my part time job and give it to the full time lady  and make it so there was only one receptionist all day. 
3. What would your dream job be?
My dream job would be to be a teacher. And I am currently working on my Early Childhood Education Associates Degree.
4. What did you want to be when you "grew up"?
I wanted to be either a teacher, a doctor, a brain surgeon, or a pilot. 
5. How old were you when you got your first job?
I was 16. I started out as a volunteer at the nursing home that my mom worked at as a nurse. I helped out in the activities department and then shortly after, I got hired as an activity assistant. I then later got hired at the same place as a part time receptionist.

1. What is your favorite food item at Thanksgiving dinner?
My favorite food item at Thanksgiving dinner is the turkey stuffing. I absolutely love my grama's turkey stuffing. She stuffs the bird with the stuffing and I just think that it is the best. Much better than the traditional stove top.
2. What is your least favorite?
My least favorite food item at Thanksgiving dinner is probably the turkey. I'm not much of a turkey eater. One piece is good enough for me.
3. Do you have a favorite pie?
My favorite pie is pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top. Or any Marie Calender's pies.
4. Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
While I was growing up we would go to my grama's house. She would make the whole Thanksgiving dinner and we would eat around two in the afternoon. 
Soon, Chris, Lyric, and I will have our own traditions. Can't wait to make them!
5. Black Friday shopping? Do you participate in the delightful running through the stores in the wee hours of the morning madness or hibernate at home and shop online?
I've never gone Black Friday shopping. But, I would love to!

{1} Do you have any musical talents?
I can play the flute and the piccolo. I love to play to play them and I don't think that I could ever think about not playing them.
{2} What role, if any, does music play in your life?
Music plays a huge role in my life. I don't know what I would do without my music. 
{3} What is your all time favorite song?
I have too many favorite songs! I couldn't just pick one.
{4} Do you sing in the shower?
Nope. And I don't think that I ever have.
{5} Has a song ever made you cry?

Yes, there have been songs that made me cry.

{1} What is your "can't go without it" beauty product/cosmetic?

Mascara and Eye Liner. I can go without everything else, but when I do put make up on and end up to be in a hurry, I will just put on eye liner and mascara. The rest I can go without.

{2} Do you apply make-up before or after doing your hair?

It all depends. Depends on what is going on.

{3} How would you describe your personal style?

Comfortable. Jeans and a t-shirt. Sometimes I will kinda dress up. But I make sure that I am comfortable in what I wear.
{4} How long does it take you to get ready each day?
Not very long at all, because as soon as Chris leaves for work I am getting up because Lyric is getting up and wants to play and then eat and then play and then take a nap. I usually don't really get dressed and everything until she goes down for her early afternoon nap.
{5} What is your one pamper, just for you, beauty splurge?

I don't really have a beauty splurge. I like my lotions, bubble baths, and bath salts.

We Want To Know #22

{1} How did you celebrate Halloween? Trick or treating? Adult party? Trunk or treat?
Sadly, we didn't do anything. There are laws here in Virginia that prevented me from going trick or treating. And Lyric is too little to go trick or treating.
{2} What candy is your favorite/the first thing you steal from the kids?
Anything chocolate!
{3} What kind of candy do you give out, is it your favorite? or something you know you won't be tempted to eat?
We didn't buy any candy this year, but if we would have, I would have bought a big bag of mixed candies.
{4} How soon after Halloween do you take down decorations and put away costumes? 
We didn't decorate for Halloween. If we had I would probably take the decorations down the weekend after Halloween. 
{5} When do you decorate for the next holiday? 
We don't know if we are going to decorate for Christmas. I hope that we do. I would love to buy a Christmas Tree, Ornaments, Christmas Lights, things to deck our house.

1. Do you shop til you drop, or are you in and out as quick as possible?

I am the type of person who is in between shopping until I drop and getting in and out of a store as quick as possible.
2. Are you a price conscious shopper?

I am sometimes. It depends on what it is I am buying. And what other brands that are compared to what I am looking at buying.
3. What store could you spend HOURS in?

I could spend hours in a Disney Store or baby stores. I love looking at baby things!
4. What is the most frivolous purchase you have ever made?

What does frivolous mean?
5. What was the last thing you bought for yourself?

I bought a nice sweater from Kohls with a gift card that I received for my birthday.
