We tend to keep our vehicles pretty clean. At least we try our hardest. Chris is pretty good at keeping the Camry washed. The inside is usually clean, except for the some days old workout clothes that Chris left in the Camry for two-four days. It can get SMELLY!

3. Have you ever been to Vegas?

Five Question Friday #27

1. What's the last thing you bought for yourself?

I got a gift card for Christmas from Chris' grandma to Kohl's and with that I bought a pretty pale blues and purples robe, a pink nightgown, and a black leather wallet to go with the zebra print purse that I got while I was back home in Idaho in December.

2. What's your favourite meal on a cold winter day?

I love soup on cold days. I love my grama's hamburger soup. I can get everything cut and the hamburger cut and ready in less than fifteen minutes and put in the crock pot and it cooks itself and is ready to eat in 4-6 hours. Although, you could put it in a stockpot and I believe that it will cook just as well. That is how my grama cooks her soup.

3. Have you started looking at swimsuits for this year, and do you buy a new one every year?

Ew. No. I have not started looking. I love looking, but it is so hard to find one that I would actually feel comfortable wearing.

4. If you could be any candy what would you be and why?

If I could be any candy, I would want to be something that is chocolate. I choose chocolate because I think that it tastes good, and it is any woman's best friend. Mine especially when not feeling well or sad or stressed.

5. What are you most passionate about?

My family.

**What is your favorite thing to "pin" on Pinterest?

Do it yourself crafts.

Five Question Friday #26

1. What is the weather like where you are and do you like it?
The weather has been cold! Too cold! To the point where we have had to turn on the heater. I was liking the perfect weather we had. But now, I just want the warm weather to come back.

2. When you're sick what do you seek comfort from?
When I am sick, I crave Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I also find comfort in being bundled up in my blanket watching movies with Lyric.

3. What do you need to do before the end of the month?
I don't know what I need to do before the end of the month. But I know what I want to accomplish by the end of the month. I would like to get curtains made and hung up for all the rooms in the house if I can, if not then at least the downstairs. I would also like to get bath rugs or front door and back door rugs made. And start on getting our dinning room table and sofa started. Lots that I want to get done.

4. Have you ever served on a jury?
No, I have not.

5. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Hmmm... If I could be any animal I would want to be an animal that is graceful, peaceful, smart, and pretty. I think that I would choose to be a feline of some sort. I don't know why I would choose a feline. I guess it is because I love cats!

Five Question Friday #26

1. What's the best Christmas present you've ever received?
The best Christmas present that I ever received would probably be the digital picture frame that my mom got me for Christmas last year.

2. Worst/Funniest White Elephant gift ever received?
Hmm... I don't know about this one. With being involved with Jobs Daughters for so many years and one part of each meeting we had we had a White Elephant gift that we did each week. And I got it a few times. I can't remember which one I had was the funniest.

3. Is your Christmas tree plain and simple (white lights and matching ornaments) or is it wild and crazy (colored lights with lots of ornaments collected over the years)?
This year our tree was plain and simple. And I very much like it that way. We had white lights and green and red ornaments that had three different style bulbs but each set matched just different colors. Although, we did have a few Winnie the Pooh ornaments and other "milestone/special" ornaments. Next year I think we are going to get a small Christmas tree for our little window opening that is in our dining/den area and put all our special ornaments on it and keep our big tree uniform and simple.

4. "How" do you iron your clothes? The old fashioned iron/ironing board way, the shower, back in the dryer, etc.
It all depends. If it can go into the dryer, I will throw it in the dryer for a while or have Chris iron it.

5. How much baking do you do for Christmas and what are your "must make" items? (I'm looking for recipes here, peeps...)
I really didn't bake this year for Christmas. I made my grama's really yummy hamburger soup and lots and lots of cookies and kiss pies for Christmas gifts for our neighbors and friends.

Kiss Pies

1 refrigerated pie crust, thawed
14 Hershey Kisses of choice
1 egg white whisked with 1 Tbsp water
Powdered sugar/Granulated sugar for dusting
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Roll out pie dough onto a lightly floured counter top.  Place 10 kisses around the edges of pie dough, about 2 1/2 inches apart.  Take a knive and cut a 2 1/2-3 inch circle around kiss.  Fold half of pie dough around top of dough and pinch edge around top of kiss.  Now, fold up both sides of remaining dough up to the tip of the kiss pinching edge.  Now press together edges and form criss cross as shown in photo, step 3. * *Continue cutting dough around kisses until all dough is used up.  I got about 14 rounds cut when I re-rolled my scraps :) **
2.  Brush all little pies with an egg white wash then sprinkle with granulated sugar.  Bake for 20-28 minutes or until little pies are golden.  Remove and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.  Dust each with powdered sugar and serve.
about 14 little pies.

Nope!

4. What is the messiest room in your house right at this moment?

5. What is the furthest you have driven for the holidays?
With this being mine, Chris', and Lyric's first Christmas together as a family. We didn't drive anywhere. We stayed home. Seeing as we couldn't go home for the holidays. Five Question Friday #23

1. Is there a special dish you prepare that you are famous for?
When I was younger I remember going to my God Mothers house for quite a few Thanksgivings and she would make Punch Bowl Cake. And boy did I fall in love with that Punch Bowl Cake. I have heard stories about when I was younger, getting up in the middle of the night and raiding the refrigerator for the left over Punch Bowl Cake.

Well, I have started to make that dish/dessert for a few Thanksgivings and Christmas'. Although, I didn't get to make it this year as it was my first year having a turkey dinner with my own family. And boy, did my turkey turn out great! It was delicious and moist. I could hardly believe it!

4. Pecan or pumpkin pie? (She actually asked "Apple or pumpkin?" I just T-giving'edit!)
Pumpkin! I love Pumpkin Pie! Especially Costco's Pumpkin Pie!

5. When will you put up your Christmas tree?
Hopefully when me and Lyric come home from Idaho we will go out and find/buy a Christmas tree and decorate the house.

2. Are you a real Christmas tree kinda person or do you go with a real fake one?
I think this year as it is our 'real' first Christmas together. Me, Chris and Lyric. I think that we are going to attempt to get a real Christmas tree and decorate it. We don't really have the storage to store a real fake Christmas tree. And to be truthful I have always wanted to do real Christmas trees.

I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful that I have a healthy and happy baby girl. I am thankful to have a loving and supportive family back home. I am thankful to have the loving and supportive in-laws. I am thankful to have a wonderful husband who loves me for me including my flaws.

4. Which fashion fad from the past do you wish you could wear today?

Five Question Friday #19

1. Do you prefer cotton, silk, or flannel sheets?
I like cotton, silk, and flannel sheets. In the winter I love flannel sheets. And in the fall I love cotton sheets, and silk sheets in the Summer. I love getting into bed at night and having the sheets cool once you get into bed. And once you get comfortable the sheets begin to warm up while you are laying in bed. I sleep better when I go to bed in a bed with the sheets being cool. Call me crazy!

2. What time zone are you in?
I believe I am in the Eastern Time Zone. Seeing as I am on the East Coast. I hate all the different time zones. Why must we all have different times. Can't we all just have the same time. I hate that I am two hours ahead of my family back home in Idaho. It throws me off.

3. What is your favorite part of the holiday season?
My favorite part of the holiday season is being together with family. Although, this year I won't actually be able to be with my family on the holidays. But I will get to be with them before Christmas and after Thanksgiving. I'm bummed though that Chris won't be going home with me and Lyric. He has to continue working. :(

4. What is your favorite "wintry" drink? (It doesn't have to be an "alcoholic" drink!)
Its a bummer that Virginia doesn't have a Moxie Java. Back home we have Moxie Java's everywhere it seemed like. I love their winter special drinks. Like and Enchantment, and Snowy Mocha. Other wise I like anything Pumpkin and Cinnamon.

5. In your opinion, what is the worst job in the world?
I can think of two jobs that I could never do. One would be a trash collector and a taxi driver. A trash collector for the most obvious reasons. And a taxi driver, because I could only imagine what kind of people would jump into the taxi.
